Quick Overview

A beautiful setting showing a sweet-looking 18th century Niño Dormido or Sleeping Child, carved anatomically correct in ivory, his right index finger symbolically tipping his red lips. The bed was originally a 19th century French brass and blue velvet bridal bouquet holder. The old glass virina is luxuriously filled with beautifully crafted brass appliqués of birds, flowers and foliates, shells and mirror. It is an extravagant and symbolic diorama especially taken out during Christmas season for veneration and as a decoration.
